About Model Commuters
Improving passenger courtesy can make a big difference to the public transport experience for all customers.
The Model Commuters campaign was launched by Public Transport Victoria in May 2014. The campaign aims to promote customer etiquette on all public transport in Victoria.
Using feedback, social media and by asking customers directly, we found out what behaviours people appreciated most, and based our Model Commuters on them.
At one time or another when using public transport, we've probably all seen someone demonstrate the opposite of Model Commuter behaviour.
This campaign asks those passengers to think of their fellow commuters and begin to demonstrate the types of behaviours that will make a better journey for everyone.
